FRANCE: Givaudan has inaugurated its new high tech fermentation production line in Pomacle, France. The $10.3 million investment in the extension of the production capacity represents Givaudan’s most important infrastructure investment in active cosmetic ingredients (ACI) to date. The new production line will support the company in meeting the fast-growing demand, particularly for products such as hyaluronic acid. In other news, Givaudan acquired Induchem SA and its subsidiaries. The units will become part of the firm’s ACI business.
